Same-Day Emergency Dentistry

When you have a dental emergency, you want to be seen the same day. We understand!

Get Same-Day Emergency Dental Care in Salt Lake City

Why ignore a severe toothache when you can come to our Salt Lake City office for emergency dental care today?

Dental emergencies come in various forms. They range from severe toothaches to knocked-out teeth to bleeding gums. The damage to your teeth, gums, mouth and jaw require more urgent care than routine cleanings and dental checkups. For this reason, we work hard to address your emergencies the same day.

Call us immediately when you have any of the following:

  • Knocked-out tooth
  • Bleeding from the mouth
  • Swelling in the gums or around the mouth
  • Severe pain that doesn’t lessen after taking pain reliever

Common Dental Emergencies Include:

Cracked or Broken Tooth

When someone is regularly seeing one of our Salt Lake City dental professionals, we can typically catch things that would turn into a broken tooth before the tooth ever breaks. There are certain situations, however, that this is not the case. For example, if you get hit in the face with something hard, being current on your dental visits is probably not going to save your teeth from breaking. Even if the break or crack is not due to a major trauma event, sometimes teeth can break unexpectedly. If you have a broken or cracked tooth call us today. We offer same day crowns so that you can be in, out, and on your way with your looks back to normal and having hardly skipped a beat.

Heavy Bleeding From a Cut in Your Mouth

If your mouth is bleeding, you can attempt to stop the bleeding by rinsing and applying ice to the wound. Please use good judgement when trying to treat a mouth wound on your own. If you do not feel the bleeding is too bad, and don’t think that the cut will need stitches, feel free to attempt to stop it using these methods. If the cut appears that it will need stitches, or if it is bleeding uncontrollably, you should contact a doctor or emergency room right away.

Tooth Ache

Nobody likes having a tooth ache. Most of us have been there and it is not fun! If you have tooth ache, feel free to give us a call to help assess your situation. Some situations require immediate attention, and some situations can wait, but you probably don’t want to guess wrong on this.

Gum Abscess

You will likely notice a gum abscess because it is typically accompanied by pain and swelling. A gum abscess is caused by infection. The infection can be caused by a number of different things, but if you have an abscess and need a dentist, give us a call right away so that we can help you get out of pain!

Lost Tooth or Teeth

If you have lost a tooth or multiple teeth for any reason, you should see a dentist as quickly as possible. Where possible, replace the tooth in the socket until you can be seen by the dentist. If this is not possible in your situation, your urgency should be much greater. The ideal option for a lost tooth is to save the tooth, but this is time sensitive and is not always possible. Do what you can to get the root back in the socket and get to the dentist right away.
