Dental Implants Cost

What Determines Dental Implants Costs?

Number of Implants

More dental implants will mean a higher cost. The number of implants you require is determined by your level of tooth loss and the type of restoration you receive to restore your smile. Patients with a single missing tooth can receive an implant-supported crown, which needs only one dental implant. If a whole arch of teeth needs to be replaced, dentures are the best option. Dentures require several dental implants for support.

Materials

Our Salt Lake City, Utah, dental office uses quality materials so restorations are long-lasting and look and feel like natural teeth. Our implant posts and abutments are made of strong, biocompatible titanium, and are ideal for stability and lifetime use. Tooth replacement prosthetics are made of tooth-colored porcelain or zirconia, materials that look and feel like your natural enamel.

Preparatory Procedures

If a patient does not have sufficient jawbone density to support dental implants, a sinus lift or bone grafting procedure may be necessary. Bone grafting uses your own bone tissue, synthetic materials, or donated bone tissue to strengthen your jawbone. Tooth extraction, gum disease treatment, and other preparatory dentistry may also be necessary before dental implants can be placed. Dr. Sam Delahunty can address any dental issues before your implant procedure.

Will Dental Insurance Cover Implants?

Implants are not covered by insurance, but dental insurance might cover other components of the procedure. Though we are out-of-network for all providers, if your dental insurance covers surgical costs, preparatory procedures, or your restoration, our Salt Lake City office will file the paperwork for you and help get the most out of your benefits.

Our Implants Are Better Priced Than The National Average

We can't calculate the exact price of your implant procedure until you visit for a consultation, where Dr. Delahunty will examine your mouth and determine your recommended course of treatment. However, you can rest assured that Canyon Rim Dental will do everything we can to keep treatment affordable.

It all starts with our low dental implant pricing. According to the American Dental Association, the national average cost for a single dental implant is $3,000 to $4,500. At our Salt Lake City dental office, the cost for a single implant starts at only $2,000. And pricing isn't the only way we help with treatment costs.

Dental Implants Are Worth the Investment

Implant-supported restorations might cost more than other replacements for missing teeth, but they carry benefits that dentures and traditional bridges can't match. They offer the best support for your restored smile, and mean your new teeth will never slip or shift out of place. Implants allow for missing teeth to be replaced from root to crown; they can prevent jawbone deterioration, and helps keep your remaining teeth from shifting out of position.

By investing in dental implants, you're investing in a healthy smile for years to come.

Implant-Supported Crowns

Implant-supported crowns are the best option for replacing a single missing tooth. A life-like crown is constructed to look and feel like a natural tooth so it seamlessly fills in the gap in your smile.

Implant-Supported Bridges and Partial Dentures

An implant-supported bridge is effective for replacing a row of missing teeth. A partial denture is great for smiles that have multiple gaps between the remaining teeth.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Patients can replace a whole upper or lower arch of teeth with an implant-supported denture. Dentures anchored by implants will give you a stronger bite and make enunciating words easier.

What to Know About Mini Dental Implants

Our practice is proud to offer mini dental implants, which are about half the diameter of traditional implants.

If you have lost a single small tooth, such as a lower incisor, a mini dental implant with a crown is likely the most conservative implant-supported replacement option. Mini dental implants negate the need for bone grafting. They also do not need an abutment piece to hold onto a crown; the restoration is attached directly to the implant.

Request a consultation with Dr. Delahunty to see if mini dental implants are right for your smile.
